Navigate monitoring

Once several teams are building, you can't open every workflow every morning. Learn how the monitoring dashboard, the Monitor tab, and the Runs tab fit together, and how to decide what needs your attention first.

Objective: Use the monitoring dashboard and a workflow's Monitor tab to spot what needs attention across your workspace.

See everything without opening everything

Reading one run works when you're checking one workflow. Once several teams are building, you can't open every workflow every morning.

You still need answers to a few questions. What's failing? What's costing more than expected? Who has access to what? Is anything still running that nobody uses anymore? Tines 3B collects those answers in one place, so you can see where to look before you open a single workflow.

By the end of this lesson, you'll be able to use the monitoring dashboard and the Monitor tab to decide what needs your attention first.

Three levels of monitoring

The monitoring dashboard collects six tabs. What you see on each one depends on your permissions, and where a tab has scope or time filters, on what those filters select.

Tour the monitoring dashboard

Open your Tines 3B tenant.

Open the monitoring dashboard from the left sidebar.

Explore each tab, then pick one item that might need attention, such as a failing workflow or a workflow with high AI usage.

Open one of those workflows and select its Monitor tab. Look at its recent run activity, the state of its steps, and the connectors it uses.

If something looks off, select the Runs tab and find a run that shows it.

If your tenant is new and quiet, there may not be much to see yet. Take note of where each answer would appear, so you know where to look once teams start building.

After you choose, check yourself. Could you say where each of these signals showed up, and where you'd go next for each one? Could you tell the difference between a failure that's costing the business something today and one that can wait? If so, you're reading the dashboard the way a governance lead needs to.

What to do if something still feels fuzzy

Use the monitoring dashboard to find where to look, then the Monitor and Runs tabs to find out why. Next, you'll decide who can see, change, and run the workflows you're watching.
